Job summary

Sanmina is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator in Houston to lead end-to-end production planning and scheduling for racks, cabinets, and electromechanical products. You will align customer demand with manufacturing capacity, material availability, and inventory strategy to maximize on-time delivery and efficiency.

Collaborate with Sales, Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to develop executable plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or Business.
• 2–4 years of production planning scheduling experience.
• Experience in precision metal fabrication, heavy assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP platforms (SAP or Oracle) and advanced data analysis in Excel.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP and Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute master production schedules across fabrication, welding, coating, and assembly.
• Lead the monthly SIOP process and model capacity requirements for labor and equipment.
• Establish safety stock targets, reorder points, and lot sizes to protect delivery dates.
• Own ERP master data including lead times, routings, calendars, and BOMs.
• Drive Lean initiatives to shorten lead times and improve schedule attainment.
