Job summary

Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country is seeking a Production Planner to develop production schedules, order raw materials, and manage inventory to support sales and ensure smooth operations across our regional bottling network.

As part of the Operations Team, you will coordinate with production managers, handle promotions, monitor carrier relations, and help minimize costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of college preferred.
• 2-4 years of general work experience preferred.
• Experience in inventory control or production planning preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review daily production runs and material uses; ensure consumption and production balance.
• Input and review inventories; recount variances and post inventories.
• Develop weekly production schedule to maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with production managers to include maintenance, QA downtime, safety training and operator training in the schedule.
• Order all required raw materials to support production requirements.
• Track purchase orders and assist budgeting to minimize production costs.
• Monitor promotions and ensure in-market dates.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when needed.
• Control transportation costs by following routing guides to maximize service and minimize cost.
• Coordinate with warehouse for dock scheduling and carrier relationships.
• Update management on carrier constraints, weather, or other events affecting delivery.
• Hold vendors accountable for performance based on metrics.
