Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain planning in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP, inventory control, and capacity planning.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis for planning decisions.
• Ability to interpret demand signals, evaluate capacity constraints, and develop schedules.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules balancing demand, inventory, capacity, and materials.
• Create weekly and daily production plans for assigned value streams.
• Monitor schedule attainment and performance, implementing recovery plans as needed.
• Prioritize and sequence manufacturing orders to optimize flow and on-time delivery.
• Verify material availability and identify shortages or constraints.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Manage MRP planning messages and ensure priorities reflect current requirements.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels including safety stock and WIP.
• Analyze forecast changes and demand variability to adjust schedules.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes through planning.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and work order integrity.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning and SCM processes.
• Participate in cross-functional Value Stream Teams.
