Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is representing a prominent manufacturing organization seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, inventory, and efficiency.

The role requires 2–5 years in production planning or related fields, with ERP and advanced planning software experience and strong Excel skills. APICS certification and leadership experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in production planning, demand planning, supply chain, forecasting, or a related manufacturing function.
• Experience using ERP systems and advanced planning software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• APICS certification, project leadership experience, and manufacturing operations experience are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor production performance and identify capacity constraints or scheduling opportunities.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while supporting on-time customer delivery.
• Utilize ERP systems and Excel to analyze production data and support planning decisions.
• Interpret data to identify trends, solve problems, and improve planning processes.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and other departments to ensure efficient production flow.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance planning accuracy and operational performance.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
