Job summary

Upcoresolutions in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Production Planner to coordinate end-to-end manufacturing planning. You will develop schedules, monitor performance, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution to meet customer demands.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field, 5 years of planning experience, and strong MRP knowledge. APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (business administration, SCM, etc.).
5+ years of experience as a Production Planner or similar role.
Strong knowledge of MRP, production planning and supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production process, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
Collaborate with the sales team to accurately forecast future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
Identify potential capacity bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve productivity.
Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
Participate in regular production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and resolve any schedule conflicts.
Ensure accuracy of all production orders.
Regularly assess the performance of the production process and implement changes as needed.
