Job summary

Avantor seeks a Senior Production Planner to convert midterm to long‑term plans into a weekly schedule aligned with capacity availability. You will maintain close contact with supply, inventory, and finished goods planning teams to identify issues and balance capacity.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Logistics Management or related field.
7+ years production planning experience.
APICS certification preferred.
Familiarity with demand planning systems and what-if analysis.

Responsibilities

Monitor demand and capacity to generate a weekly schedule meeting customer requirements and address imbalances.
Collaborate with finished goods planning and material planning teams to ensure coverage and accurate schedules.
Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Warehouse and Shipping to address constraints or opportunities.
Make adjustments to the production schedule to accommodate near-term orders differing from S&OP.
Identify supply response imbalances and address appropriate responses.
Anticipate issues by comparing demand with supply in short and midterm horizons.
Leverage new product introductions from R&D into production plans.
Use current capacity planning systems to create the best capacity schedules.
