Job summary

Coherent is seeking a Production Planner at the New Jersey site to ensure production schedules are met while upkeeping quality. You will partner with the Division Production Planner to optimize yields and lead times, and drive improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing, familiarity with time studies, and strong ERP/SAP skills. You will work in a cross-functional, global team, upholding safety and continuous improvement standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years in manufacturing, high tech preferred.
• Experience with time studies (labor and equipment).
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Production planning with the division planner to meet NJ site schedules.
• Monitor operations to maintain quality, maximize yields and minimize scrap.
• Manage productivity, lead-times, and backlog to acceptable levels.
• Participate in process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
