Job summary

Georg-Fischer in Irvine, CA is seeking a Production Planner to manage release, scheduling, and tracking of work orders in a custom manufacturing environment. You will balance capacity, material availability, and demand while coordinating with Purchasing, Inventory, Customer Service, and Engineering to meet delivery targets.

You should have 1–3 years in production planning, a bachelor's in a related field, and experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field; CPIM preferred.
• 1–3 years in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Release, schedule, monitor, and manage work orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Inventory and Customer Service teams.
• Analyze MRP data, maintain production schedule, and manage capacity.
• Track progress in SAP and communicate committed dates, delays, or bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs.
• Apply lean practices to minimize waste and optimize workflow.
• Generate reports on production status, KPIs, and throughput.
• Provide backup support to Production Control Supervisor and Ops Manager.
