Job summary

BMI Merchandise is seeking a Production Planner in Cinnaminson, NJ to own daily and weekly production scheduling, drawing demand data from ERP and BI tools, and building a plan aligned with customer due dates and capacity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or related operations.
• Working proficiency in an ERP system, including order, inventory, routing, and BOM data structures.
• Strong Excel skills and practical experience with a BI platform and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to define, baseline, and report operational KPIs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with the right audience in mind.
• Ability to operate amid competing priorities and incomplete information.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain/related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Experience supporting or participating in sales and operations planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain recurring reporting for production planning and KPI accuracy.
• Sequence production orders against due dates, capacity, and material readiness.
• Identify scheduling conflicts, present trade-offs, and escalate when needed.
• Rebalance the plan with changing priorities and downtime conditions.
• Publish the production plan on a fixed cadence for sales and operations.
• Lead or contribute to recurring production reviews and KPI reporting.
• Coordinate with sales to align commitments with demand and expedite when needed.
• Serve as trained back-up for sales order entry during peak periods.
