Job summary

BMI Merchandise in Cinnaminson, NJ seeks a Production Planner to own the daily/weekly production schedule and the data that drives it. You will extract demand from ERP/BI tools, build a plan that sequences work to meet due dates and capacity, and ensure alignment between sales and operations.

You will establish KPIs, identify conflicts early, and communicate trade-offs to leadership. This role requires collaboration across departments and a proactive, data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in production planning or similar operations role in manufacturing.
• Proficient with ERP including orders, inventory, routing, BOM data.
• Strong Excel and BI reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain recurring production reporting (open orders, due dates, material availability, line output).
• Sequence production orders against due dates and capacity.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and present trade-offs.
• Rebalance plan as conditions change.
• Publish production plan on a fixed cadence to sales and operations.
• Lead or contribute to production reviews.
• Define and maintain KPI set with baselines and trends.
• Collaborate with sales to align commitments with demand.
• Serve as trained back-up for sales order entry.
