Job summary

Blue Ops, Inc. in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Production Planner II to develop, maintain, and execute master schedules that balance demand, capacity, and material availability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with production, materials, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery, resolve scheduling conflicts, manage MRP data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and deadlines with accuracy.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred.
• Ability to interpret sales forecasts, capacity data, BOMs, routings, and production metrics.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create production schedules based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and capacity constraints.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align timelines, material readiness, machine time, labor availability, and priorities.
• Analyze capacity and resource requirements to evaluate labor, equipment, tooling, and constraints for balanced schedules.
• Manage MRP/ERP planning parameters, lead times, lot sizes, BOMs, routings, and related data for stable planning.
• Create, release, and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion on the shop floor.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts such as shortages, downtime, engineering changes, and priority shifts.
• Support inventory management and collaborate with materials teams to prevent shortages and excess.
• Communicate schedule updates and impacts clearly to teams, customer service, and leadership.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify process improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, supporting lean manufacturing practices.
