Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an experienced Planner to support ERP/MRP processes in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will release work orders, manage BOMs and routings, and ensure data integrity across planning parameters.

You will translate master schedules into actionable release timing, identify shortages, and coordinate with buyers and expeditors to keep production on track. This role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of production planning, materials planning, or MRP execution experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience operating within an ERP/MRP system — releasing work orders, managing open order exceptions, and maintaining planning data; NetSuite experience a plus.
• Solid working knowledge of MRP concepts: BOM explosion, routing, lead time offsetting, safety stock, reorder points, and MRP exception management.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute MRP runs in NetSuite; review system‑generated suggestions, release work orders and purchase requisitions, and manage planning horizon daily/weekly.
• Own ERP/MRP data integrity for BOMs, routings, lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and planning parameters; identify and correct errors.
• Manage open work order status through production lifecycle from release to completion and resolve discrepancies between system and floor status.
• Maintain lot and batch traceability in production scheduling for regulated programs, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and production traveler requirements.
• Translate Master Scheduler's schedule into work order release timing and material availability; the Planner executes what Scheduler has set.
• Identify material shortages and communicate with Production Expeditor and Master Scheduler about impacts.
• Coordinate purchase requisition timing with the Buyer I to align procurement with work orders.
• Support ERP/MRP go‑live readiness through data validation and item master cleansing.
• Assist Production Expeditor with system contextual information for floor escalations.
• Develop and maintain standard planning reports showing work order status and MRP exceptions.
