Job summary

PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is seeking an experienced Production Planner at our Shrewsbury, MA site. You will develop and maintain production schedules, coordinate material flow, and ensure timely work order execution to meet customer demand in a full-time, on-site role.

You should have strong ERP and inventory planning experience, with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to optimize plans and drive efficient material usage.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Basket: a 4-year degree in a related discipline is required.
• Experience with ERP systems and material planning is essential.
• Residency: US Citizen or Permanent Resident for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed production schedules.
• Plan and create work orders based on forecasts, customer orders, and material availability.
• Ensure raw materials and components are available on time to meet production goals.
• Release work orders, issue materials to the production floor, and create necessary labels and documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Materials Planning teams.
• Track work order status and ensure accurate data entry into the ERP system.
• Resolve material issues, quality concerns, and shortages with urgency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and inventory management.
• Interpret engineering documents to support new builds and revisions.
