Job summary

Shawsheen Coating and Converting in Andover, MA is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop and manage production schedules, coordinate materials, and improve ERP-based processes. You will work with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and Quality teams to ensure orders are completed on time and manufacturing runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include maintaining BOMs, routing data, and lead times while monitoring capacity and inventory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in coating, converting, textiles, paper products, or continuous-process manufacturing is preferred.
• Hands-on experience participating in or leading an ERP implementation, migration, or significant system improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Infor, or similar manufacturing software.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, MRP, inventory management, and BOMs.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis.
• APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet demand and optimize inventory.
• Coordinate daily production priorities with plant leadership, supervisors, and purchasing teams.
• Monitor capacity, labor availability, and material requirements to create realistic schedules.
• Track production progress and address delays due to shortages or downtime.
• Support ERP implementation, scheduling, and inventory management enhancements.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routing, lead times, and equipment capacities.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues.
• Improve planning procedures and ERP-related processes.
• Monitor on-time delivery and inventory levels to identify improvements.
• Support continuous improvement to boost efficiency and reduce delays.
