Job summary

Abcam, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Production and Material Planning Manager to lead production and material planning across the manufacturing network in Waltham, MA. You will drive reliable product availability, optimize inventory, and improve capacity utilization.

You will manage a planning team, partner with cross-functional teams, and advance DBS-driven continuous improvement while delivering value to customers and the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience in production planning, material planning, and inventory management.
• Leadership experience with performance management and team development.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing.
• Experience operating in regulated life sciences or manufacturing.
• APICS/ASCM certification or DBS familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand into feasible production, inventory, capacity, and replenishment plans.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Commercial teams to manage constraints and planning.
• Establish inventory parameters balancing service levels and working capital.
• Use KPI management and problem solving to improve planning performance.
• Lead projects related to supply chain transformation and process improvements.
• Provide planning insights and risk assessments for decisions.
• Coach and develop production and materials planning staff.
