Job summary

Abcam is hiring a Production Planner for its on-site team in Waltham, MA. You will lead production and material planning across the manufacturing network to ensure reliable product availability, optimized inventory, and efficient capacity use.

This role interfaces with cross-functional teams to translate demand into executable supply plans while advancing continuous improvement through the Danaher Business System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, operations planning, production planning, or supply chain.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent planning systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory targets, material availability, labor capacity, and equipment constraints.
• Monitor production plan execution and adjust schedules to address changing conditions like material shortages or downtime.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Planning, and Demand Management to resolve planning issues and meet service and inventory goals.
• Track schedule attainment and planning performance metrics, and elevate risks affecting delivery commitments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and DBS-driven process enhancements.
