Job summary

Abcam, a Danaher operating company, is hiring a Buyer for Direct Materials located in Waltham, MA. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution to ensure continuity of supply and cost optimization in a fast-paced life sciences environment.

You will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers, drive continuous improvement, and support SRM reviews while leveraging ERP systems and procurement best practices. On-site role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business discipline.
• Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management.
• 2+ years in procurement roles with exposure to negotiations, contracts, ERP systems, and procurement metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing in Direct Materials, including supplier selection and contract administration.
• Support cost reduction through price management and value engineering best practices.
• Drive procurement process improvements using Danaher Business System principles.
