Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Business Product Owner to lead strategic direction and continuous improvement of Supply Chain capabilities supported by digital systems. You will translate business objectives into capabilities and requirements, partnering with DTE/IT to ensure adoption and measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline preferred, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years of Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or medical device industry experience.
• Ability to analyze straightforward problems and develop solutions with technical judgment.
• Strong communication to balance customer and internal expectations.
• Robust knowledge across supply chain disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• GMP processes and regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic objectives into business capabilities and requirements.
• Ensure digital solutions support end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Design future-state operating models to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Lead global workshops to define processes and capabilities.
• Build cross-functional alignment among Supply Chain, QA, MSAT, and IT.
• Facilitate decision-making and resolve governance challenges.
• Drive endorsement of requirements prior to implementation.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with partners.
• Support deployment planning and adoption activities.
• Partner with IT to deliver capabilities meeting expectations.
