Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director of Supply Chain to lead upstream strategy for the Pain portfolio and support end-to-end strategic initiatives. Hybrid role requiring 3 days in Boston per week, with cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, supply chain, manufacturing operations, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience with progressively increasing scope and responsibility.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning/content management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead upstream supply chain strategy development aligned with program objectives.
• Prepare analyses, recommendations, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support U.S. S&OP planning and liaison across Commercial, Finance, and Operations.
• Communicate supply plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee inventory management, budgets, and SOPs/work instructions.
