Job summary

Acme Cryogenics, Inc. in Elon, NC (also Allentown, PA and Ball Ground, GA) seeks a Product Manager to translate customer needs into a prioritized innovation roadmap and bring products to market.

This onsite role reports to the Director of Product Management and collaborates with Sales, R&D, Operations and Finance. Responsibilities include P&L management, market analysis, defining value propositions, leading NPD teams, pricing strategy, and driving profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Engineering or Business.
• MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
• Five years progressively responsible product management experience.
• Operating in a continuous improvement environment and process orientation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple functional disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
• Translate market, customer and application requirements into clear product design.
• Good knowledge of Cryogenic and industrial gas markets.
• MS Office, Salesforce.com and Adobe product knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage databases and PM/PPM tools (Smartsheet a plus).
• Proficient in MRP/ERP; Infor XA a plus.
• Up to 30% travel, mainly domestic with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage P&L including strategic planning, annual strategy deployment and budget.
• Actively manage financial performance of product lines across market segments.
• Lead cross-functional NPD core teams from pre-concept tollgate through development.
• Gather voice of customer and business; lead market discussions at Product Planning Group.
• Identify customer pain points and translate into valuable product solutions.
• Conduct market and customer insight research to define diagnostic solutions.
• Visit customers to solicit feedback on products and services.
• Analyze competitive landscape to develop action plans and grow market share.
• Define value proposition to improve marketability and profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop selling tools for targeting.
• Develop business cases for NPD and drive market requirements and product definitions.
• Contribute to roadmap, IPV metrics, and Product Life Cycle processes.
• Execute Product Life Cycle Management and SKU rationalization.
• Manage all commercial aspects including brand, pricing, promotion and service levels.
• Develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability and competitiveness.
• Support Marketing plans, product launches, tools, and customer/industry communication.
• Maintain interactions with customers and internal groups (Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance).
