Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a Product Manager to lead strategic product marketing, market segmentation, and multi-generational product planning. The role requires independent thought and the ability to influence peers and leadership across Avient and customer organizations.

You will oversee profitability, pricing strategy, and the introduction of new products, while collaborating with sales, research, manufacturing, and distribution teams to ensure successful launches and sustained growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, marketing or related role.
• Experience in managing distributor, channel partner, or indirect sales relationships.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business situations and develop actionable solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Strong data analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in strategic product marketing, market views, segmentation, and multi-generational product planning.
• Develop and monitor product profitability, margins, and pricing strategies, including promotions and campaigns.
• Oversee development and introduction of new products with cross-functional teams across sales, research, manufacturing, and distribution.
• Ensure customer and sales personnel receive continuous technical support and up-to-date product information.
• Coordinate POL process participation and situational analysis to support strategic marketing.
• Attend industry events and maintain market insights to drive growth and opportunities.
