Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Office of the General Counsel seeks an outstanding attorney to join the Product Claims Team in the Controversies Practice Group. You will oversee nationwide pre‑suit product liability matters, coordinate with outside counsel, and counsel business teams on legal risks and training.

You will also drive innovative workflows and AI-enabled solutions, collaborating with product litigation, regulatory, and consumer teams, while leading a team of analysts and delivering strategic

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA‑accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing of the Michigan Bar (or eligible for RIHC status in Michigan).
• Strong litigation background and ability to manage matters across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of pre‑suit consumer and subrogation product liability matters nationwide.
• Retain and manage outside counsel when needed; assess litigation risk and settlement strategy.
• Lead teams of analysts; implement technology and workflow automations to reduce costs.
