Job summary

OFS in the United States is seeking a Buyer to support procurement operations by managing requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier relationships. This role ensures timely procurement of goods and services to meet production needs.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams, monitor supplier performance, and help optimize inventory levels while pursuing cost-reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management tools.
• Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to support purchasing objectives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in managing procurement processes and ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Proactive in identifying issues and suggesting solutions to optimize procurement operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage requisitions, execute purchase orders, and oversee end-to-end procurement process for goods and services.
• Maintain supplier relationships domestically and internationally, including performance evaluations and collaboration on quality and cost improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in stock planning to optimize availability and minimize shortages.
• Track and manage purchase orders, handle exceptions such as delays, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Evaluate supplier performance metrics, address quality issues, and implement improvement actions.
• Support cost reduction efforts through supplier negotiations and inventory control strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance to align purchasing strategies with production schedules and quality standards.
• Assist in new product development projects by providing sourcing insights and vendor capabilities.
