Job summary

MASS is a UK-based independent technology company delivering specialist procurement solutions to secure and support projects. As Senior Procurement and Subcontracts Officer, you will lead sourcing, negotiate supplier terms, manage subcontracts and monitor performance across programmes.

Based at our Little Paxton head office with a hybrid pattern (three days on-site, two at home) you will work with project teams and suppliers, ensure compliance, export controls and safeguarding value for money

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement, purchasing or subcontract management role.
• Proven experience sourcing goods and services, negotiating supplier terms and managing subcontract arrangements.
• Experience building and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
• An understanding of business finance, including profit and loss, margins, mark-up, escalation and foreign exchange.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and promote best practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement and subcontract activities across the business.
• Source goods and services, develop supplier relationships and negotiate terms.
• Place and manage subcontracts and monitor supplier performance.
• Resolve supplier issues and ensure procurement systems reflect supplier information.
• Support export control requirements and related licences and documentation.
