Job summary

Mace is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader in the United States (South Carolina region) to drive procurement strategy and category leadership across projects. You will oversee teams, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and influence senior stakeholders while delivering value and sustainable outcomes.

The role emphasizes due diligence, market understanding, and embedding procurement processes to support net zero commitments and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Procurement or related field.
• CIPS Level 5/6 or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, and commercial leadership.

• Leads teams to ensure principals, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver plans.
• Perform due diligence and market understanding.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Development and maintains Relationship Management Expert.
• Manages and provides leadership to team/s, ensuring the principals, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to diver plans and deliver excellence.
• Due Diligence & Company / Market Understanding.

• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant professional procurement qualification such as CIPS Level 5/6 or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, and commercial leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Experience influencing and managing executive-level and senior stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and driving high performance.
• Strong relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing and implementing procurement and category strategies that deliver measurable business value.
• In-depth understanding of construction, consultancy, infrastructure, or related industry sectors.
• Experience conducting market analysis, supplier due diligence, and commercial assessments.
