Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is seeking a procurement professional to negotiate terms, manage suppliers, and secure long-term contracts. You will lead sourcing strategies, evaluate bids, and process requisitions and purchase orders for internal use or customer-related needs.

The role requires an Associate's Degree with 5–7 years' experience, strong MS Office skills, and FAR/DFAR knowledge. Travel up to 25% to support mission-focused procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 5–7 years' experience or equivalent combination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, and negotiates contracts.
• Gathers business requirements and pre-qualifies potential suppliers.
• Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
• Evaluates proposals based on quality and cost; recommends suppliers.
• Works with suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contracts.
• May oversee tactical purchasing operations and ensure compliance with policies.
