Job summary

Hawai`i State Judiciary in Honolulu is seeking a Purchasing & Specifications Specialist II to perform purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement within the centralized purchasing program. This advanced trainee role supports procurement processes and ensures compliance with state regulations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and specialized purchasing experience, including drafting specifications for bids and understanding documentation and bidding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; excess experience may substitute for education.
• Specialized purchasing experience including working with users and vendors to identify and specify product requirements.
• Experience with drafting specifications for formal bids and updating them to stay current; knowledge of bonding, indemnification, insurance and bid procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement within the Judiciary's centralized purchasing program.
• Supports government procurement processes and ensures compliance with applicable regulations.
