Job summary

Hawai`i State Judiciary seeks a Purchasing & Specifications Specialist IV to manage the full spectrum of governmental purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement for commodities and services within the Judiciary's centralized program.

The role includes processing contracts for capital improvement construction and professional services, reviewing bids, and ensuring compliance with applicable procurement laws and policy across complex, high-stakes projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Substitutions allowed: education may substitute for experience per policy described.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of governmental purchasing, standards and specifications development, and contracts procurement for Judiciary programs.
• Review, process and procure contracts for capital improvement construction and professional services.
• Manage bidding processes, documentation, bonding, indemnification, and contract compliance.
• Respond to inquiries regarding the bidding process and maintain currency of specifications.
