Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking a Specialist, Procurement to support project teams across materials and services for major infrastructure programs, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.

You will create purchase orders in SAP, confirm pricing with vendors, manage supplier performance, and drive a zero-defect procure-to-pay process while coordinating with Operations, Estimating, and field teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry; procurement experience is a plus.
• Experience on long-term projects managing purchase orders and vendors (5+ years).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• SAP knowledge and procure-to-pay process understanding.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy demand placed on the system on time.
• Create SAP purchase orders and confirm quantities and pricing with vendors.
• Adhere to Aecon preferred supplier footprint.
• Drive toward a zero-exception procure-to-pay process.
• Resolve price, delivery, account assignment, material and service-related exceptions in real time.
• Increase the use and refinement of material master data.
• Ensure that all packing slips have been verified for all pertinent information.
• Clear open commitments and close purchase orders as required.
• Maintain and organize all related filing systems.
• Generate Vendor Corrective Measures when required.
• Generate and maintain an up-to-date procurement plan noting long lead-time material schedules.
• Ensure material specifications are adhered to when sourcing and buying.
• Manage requests for product data sheets and shop drawings for applicable items.
• Ensure material production releases meet all necessary criteria.
• Perform other procurement administrative duties as required.
