Job summary

Carbon by Design is seeking a Buyer to negotiate with vendors, manage purchase orders in the ERP system, and optimize the company’s procurement processes. You will develop supplier relationships, enforce purchasing policies, and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required due to export control.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 4–7+ years purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; EPICOR preferred.
• Understanding of supply chain and procurement process.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with vendors for goods and services at best price and service terms.
• Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance.
• Develop new supply sources and evaluate bids for awards.
• Establish accounts/credit terms and blanket purchase orders.
• Monitor cost and manage supplier performance over time.
• Coordinate with receiving to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain stocking programs and vendor relationships.
• Participate in internal training and other duties as assigned.
