Job summary

Carbon by Design LLC in Vista, CA is seeking a Buyer to negotiate with vendors for materials, supplies, equipment, and services and to manage vendor purchase orders through the ERP system.

The position requires 4–7+ years of purchasing experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred). You will help develop new supply sources, ensure timely deliveries, and comply with U.S. regulations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required due to export control.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 4-7+ years purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Understanding of supply chain and procurement process.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• English communication proficiency.
• MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with vendors for best price and service guarantees.
• Establish purchasing policies and ensures compliance.
• Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
• Examin bids and make awards.
• Negotiate blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitor costs.
• Check requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.
• Collaborate with receiving to ensure supplies arrive.
• Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.
• Follow environmental and safety regulations and U.S. laws.
• Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
• Support new business proposals.
• Develop and maintain stocking program.
• Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role.
• Other duties as assigned.
