Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide foundational support for procurement activities and vendor management, aligning with safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational needs and contribute to regional sourcing strategies.

The role requires 2–3 years in procurement, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant procurement experience in aggregates, manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
• Basic understanding of sourcing, negotiating, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Support local procurement activities and monitor vendor performance to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Category Managers and stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.
• Lead RFx processes for large projects or spend categories and manage supplier prequalification and contracts.
• Process purchase requests, obtain quotes, review bids, and prepare purchase orders.
• Drive adoption of eProcurement systems and supplier spend consolidation.
• Support procurement training initiatives for Division management.
