Job summary

X FAB in Texas is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage suppliers, quote and procure materials, and optimize costs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify new suppliers, issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and negotiate terms to ensure on-time delivery.

You will also monitor inventory levels, participate in ISO/TS16949 documentation, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes while maintaining accurate records and strong internal collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field and 4+ years in buyer/procurement.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to analyze consumption and forecast demand for planning.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and analytical tools; experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages a mix of strategic and non-strategic suppliers and procures materials and services at lowest cost while considering quality and urgency.
• Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery terms; issues/adjusts purchase orders as needed.
• Expedites orders and ensures timely receipt of materials; follows up on delivery and maintains records.
• Negotiates vendor contracts as appropriate and follows standard purchasing processes.
• Leads problem resolution of supplier-related payables and receiving issues; plans replenishment of stock items.
• Analyzes consumption trends/forecasted changes and adjusts planned orders to ensure supply for production.
• Reviews MRP/Min-Max settings, maintains inventory levels, and minimizes excess/zero-demand inventory.
• Provides input to management on action plans for long-term procurement issues; supports TS16949/ISO documentation.
