As a Strategic Procurement Specialist within Siemens Energy's Gas Services Distributed Procurement Team, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support a competitive, transparent, and sustainable supply chain. You will lead sourcing and negotiation activities, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to commodity strategies that support business objectives. Throughout the day, you will analyze market conditions, evaluate supplier performance, and identify opportunities to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. Your work will help strengthen procurement operations and support affordable, reliable energy solutions.


How You'll Make an Impact


  • Develop and implement commodity and sourcing strategies for assigned materials and suppliers.

  • Lead supplier negotiations and execute contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.

  • Manage supplier relationships and support the development of preferred supplier networks aligned with business objectives.

  • Analyze market trends and procurement data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and supply chain improvements.

  • Monitor supplier performance, track key metrics, and support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies while ensuring alignment with business and commodity management requirements.


What You Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CIPS certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong commercial, contract negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management skills.
