Job summary

Martin-Marietta is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide foundational support across procurement activities and vendor management. The role collaborates with Operations and Category Managers to drive regional objectives and ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities include leading RFXs, negotiating terms, contracting, and processing purchase orders. Travel up to 35–55% and strong ERP/Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of procurement or related industry experience (manufacturing, aggregates, construction).
• Familiarity with supplier contracts and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 35–55% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support local procurement activities and monitor vendor performance, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Category Managers, and stakeholders to build relationships and achieve outcomes.
• Conduct site visits and participate in regional/local meetings to drive procurement objectives.
• Lead RFXs for large projects or spend categories through tender platform.
• Complete supplier contracts for on-site and large spend suppliers per KPI goals.
• Process purchase requests, obtain quotes, review bids, and prepare purchase orders.
• Manage supplier prequalification and ensure ongoing compliance with requirements.
• Drive contract usage, eProcurement adoption, and supplier spend consolidation.
• Support and deliver procurement training for Division management.
• Maintain alignment with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values and adhere to policies.
