Job summary

RealREPP partners with a growing, stable organization to hire a Purchasing Agent. The role focuses on procuring materials for construction projects, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery. You will coordinate with field staff, PMs, and A/P to resolve issues and optimize procurement processes.

The position requires 2+ years in construction procurement, strong purchasing knowledge, and effective communication. Collaboration and continuous improvement are key in this team.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years preferred; minimum 3 years in the construction industry recommended.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, systems, and procurement.
• Negotiation skills to procure items timely and at competitive prices.
• Excellent time management handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-focused mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
• Collaborates effectively with suppliers, customers, PMs, field staff, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills material requisitions from field staff and fabrication shop.
• Procures products at competitive prices and ensures on-time delivery.
• Collaborates with A/P and PMs to resolve problem invoices and payments.
• Assists in bid documents preparation and bidder list creation.
• Coordinates procurement of goods, services, and supplies, including raw materials.
• Prepares and manages purchase orders and follows up on overdue orders.
