Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a procurement professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for project-based work. You will manage RFQs, evaluate vendors, and negotiate terms to optimize project profitability while building strong supplier relationships.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Estimating to influence project strategies and ensure timely deliveries across multiple mega-projects. The role requires 3+ years in procurement within industrial environments and robust

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within construction/industrial environments.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, and make sourcing decisions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills for managing multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in vendor coordination, quotation development, and cost analysis.
• Experience supporting mega-construction projects with multi-vendor sourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for project-based sourcing, handling RFQs from 5 to 100+ line items.
• Analyze and evaluate vendor proposals for pricing, lead times, and value to optimize profitability.
• Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Estimating to influence project execution and sourcing feasibility.
• Drive sourcing strategy for national and mega-project initiatives and identify risks with mitigation plans.
• Prioritize and manage procurement demands across multiple active projects.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability of sourcing operations.
• Prepare and present procurement analyses and recommendations to stakeholders.
