Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Program Manager for the Procurement Program Management team. Based onsite in Plymouth, MI or Irvine, CA, you will own end-to-end purchasing initiatives for pre-production and production milestones, coordinating supplier sourcing, tooling readiness, and risk management across multiple functions.

You will drive structured decision-making, articulate risks to leadership, and optimize processes using a mix of tools including SAP, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to take action on procurement strategies and achieve strategic initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexity.
• Professional presentation skills; facilitates structured decision-making processes.
• Executes independently and collaborates on evaluating potential ideas with the team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time completion of purchasing activities in support of commercial van pre-production and production builds by partnering with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Development, New Product Introduction and Vehicle Line.
• Lead cross-functional teams through program and organization-wide projects; align expectations.
• Communicate impact of engineering/content changes on cost and timing to cross-functional teams.
• Uncover and articulate risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Support leadership to achieve current and future strategic procurement initiatives.
• Own data management, analysis, and reporting across applications (Google Workspace, SAP, Confluence, Jira, Databricks, HEX).
