Montgomery Area Mental Health Authority, Inc. is seeking an Operations & Procurement Coordinator to lead procurement, inventory, and related operational support across all programs and facilities.

The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, vendor management, and compliance with federal, state, local, and grant requirements. The position collaborates with program directors, residential staff, fiscal teams, and leadership to optimize supply chain activities, meal tracking, rent collection

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Public Administration, or related field with 3 years of related experience
• Or high school diploma with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, accounting, fiscal operations, inventory management, or business operations
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field and experience with governmental, healthcare, nonprofit, or grant funded procurement
• Professional procurement certification such as CPPB, CPPO, or related certification preferred
• Must hold a valid Alabama Driver's License and maintain driving record acceptable to the Authority's insurance carrier

Responsibilities

• Procurement Administration: oversee agency-wide procurement activities; develop and maintain procurement procedures; coordinate RFPs/RFQs/ITBs; ensure compliance with regulations; maintain procurement files and monitoring for audits
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management: manage inventory systems; conduct quarterly physical inventories; track and maintain inventory records; manage ordering and distribution of supplies and food products; minimize waste and overstock
• Vendor and Contract Management: maintain vendor files; participate in vendor evaluations; monitor contract performance; assist with negotiations and procurement planning
• Food Service and Meal Tracking: procure food supplies; liaise with food vendors; monitor deliveries; track meal counts and prepare meal/service reports
• Residential Revenue Tracking and Collections: track rent payments; monitor balances; coordinate with fiscal staff on collections; prepare monthly revenue reports
• Fiscal and Operational Support: analyze purchasing trends; prepare reports; assist with budgeting and audits
• Compliance and Risk Management: ensure compliance with regulations; assist with audits and monitoring; implement controls; provide training on procedures
• Administrative Support: maintain procurement forms, procedures; assist with special projects; cross-train staff; perform related work
