Job summary

The State Procurement Services Division of the State of Montana Department of Administration is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the Department of Corrections. You will oversee procurement activities, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and provide contract oversight for assigned contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree with related experience options.
• Ability to conduct research, system analysis, and data gathering.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear scopes of work, specifications, solicitation documents, evaluation criteria, and contract documentation.
• Conduct market research and analyze pricing, proposals, contract terms, and procurement risk.
• Manage competitive solicitations, evaluations, awards, and contract administration in a fair, transparent, and defensible manner.
• Coordinate contract amendments, renewals, corrective actions, and contract closeout activities.
• Maintain ethical conduct, confidentiality, impartiality, and complete audit-ready procurement files.
• Support procurements essential to Corrections operations, including healthcare, food service, safety and security, technology, and other DOC programs.
