Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry is seeking a Procurement Specialist Senior to lead high‑level sourcing, contract negotiations, and procurement strategy for goods and services across the agency.

The role requires deep knowledge of procurement laws, contract administration, and vendor management to drive cost efficiency and ensure compliance with state regulations. This is a senior, on‑site position within Procurement Services in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal procurement statutes and rules.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies and conduct market research.
• Lean tools and Arizona Management System knowledge.
• Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, evaluate, and award complex RFPs/RFIs in accordance with procurement code.
• Coordinate contract administration to ensure compliance with policies and vendor performance.
• Negotiate contracts, prepare awards, and conduct post‑award meetings.
• Manage multiple complex annual contracts and ensure timely renewals.
