Job summary

Det-Tronics, a global technology leader in industrial life safety, seeks a Procurement Manager to guide a buyers team and elevate procurement to a strategic function. You will partner with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to secure material readiness and manage risk in a global manufacturing setting.

You will drive continuous improvement, develop talent, and lead initiatives that improve performance, optimize working capital, and strengthen supply chain resilience while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in procurement or materials management in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership with coaching and development responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing supplier relationships and material availability.
• Strong data-driven decision making and analytical problem-solving skills.
• ERP proficiency and excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration.
• Ability to work in person in a standard office environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and develops a team of buyers with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Escalates supply disruptions and shortages, partnering with suppliers to mitigate risk.
• Owns procurement cadence, leading stand-ups and cross-functional meetings.
• Aligns material strategies with demand, capacity, and growth plans with Planning/Finance.
• Manages inventory planning parameters and master data to optimize working capital.
• Leads procurement system improvements and digitization initiatives.
