Job summary

Det-Tronics, a global technology leader in industrial life safety solutions, seeks a Procurement Manager in Minneapolis, MN. You will lead a team of buyers, partner with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to align material strategies with demand, and drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.

You will manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory, and ensure material readiness while navigating supply risks and growth opportunities in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years procurement, supply chain, or materials management in manufacturing.
• 3+ years direct people leadership in procurement or supply chain.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, material availability and risk.
• Strong analytics and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• In-person office work ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of buyers to drive procurement excellence.
• Escalate and mitigate supply disruptions and shortages with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Own procurement cadence: stand-ups, cross-functional meetings, follow-up and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Planning, SIOP, Operations, Engineering, and Finance on material strategies.
• Manage inventory planning parameters, safety stock, lead times, and master data.
• Drive procurement system optimization and process improvements.
