Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting seeks a Purchasing leader to direct and coordinate materials procurement, ensuring timely availability of raw materials and equipment. You will develop and implement purchasing systems, issue purchase orders, and analyze market conditions to optimize cost and supply reliability.

Requires 4–6 years of purchasing experience and 3 years in supervision. A Bachelor's degree is recommended; CPM preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and employees.
• Ability to make decisions on what commodities to buy, who to buy from, what price to pay, how to organize the department, establishing the budget.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures and issues purchase orders.
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
• Oversees supplier performance reporting and maintains approved supplier listings.
