Job summary

MLC, headquartered in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead enterprise-wide procurement excellence, supplier performance, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment across operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance.

You will lead procurement activities across multiple locations, develop strategic supplier relationships, oversee the full PO lifecycle, coach a procurement team, ensure policy compliance, and drive KPI-driven process improvements using ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
• 3+ years of people leadership.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory management, accounts payable, or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across multiple locations, ensuring effective execution of purchasing strategies and processes.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships that support cost, quality, delivery, and business continuity objectives.
• Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, including requisitions, sourcing, order placement, expediting, and closeout activities.
• Coach and develop procurement team members while building organizational procurement capabilities and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, contracts, and company guidelines.
• Support sourcing initiatives through supplier evaluations, bid processes, contract negotiations, and category management activities.
• Partner with inventory management and operations teams to optimize inventory strategies, supplier performance, and total cost of ownership.
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI management, process optimization, ERP system utilization, and cross-functional collaboration.
