Job summary

Parker Hannifin, Defense Systems Division in Irvine, CA, is seeking a strategic procurement leader to manage daily sourcing activities for the division. You will drive lean procurement processes, negotiate long-term agreements, and partner with suppliers to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply for manufacturing.

The role requires 4–6 years of purchasing/management experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-6 years purchasing/managerial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• US citizenship required per policy.
• Preferred: Certification in supply chain management.
• Analytical and technical skills for business practices and automation opportunities.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to understand electronic processing.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the Division's purchases of materials for manufacturing.
• Leads and ensures execution of long-term pricing and sourcing agreements with identified suppliers.
• Leads and ensures execution of VMI programs within the Division.
• Establishes supplier criteria based on price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with government regulations.
• Interviews, selects, and negotiates with suppliers to secure supply and cost efficiency.
• Develops and benchmarks best practices among suppliers and maintains performance measurements.
