Jamco is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Everett, WA to lead all purchasing and procurement activities, drive cost reductions, ensure on-time delivery, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, QA/QC to meet operational and financial goals.

The role requires directing staff, negotiating with suppliers, and managing supplier performance while continuously improving processes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of purchasing, supply chain, and business management principles.
• Advanced leadership, team development, and resource coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage projects from inception through completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, preferably Epicor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop procurement staff by directing work activities, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics to reduce costs, improve capacity, and increase departmental effectiveness.
• Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies to achieve favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Monitor market conditions and forecast pricing trends to identify opportunities and risks within the supply chain.
• Assess, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Oversee purchasing activities to ensure material availability and support program schedules.
