Siemens Energy in Houston, TX seeks a Strategic Procurement Specialist to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers, lead sourcing and negotiations, and optimize cost, quality, and delivery for the Gas Services Distributed Procurement team.

You will analyze market conditions, evaluate supplier performance, and identify opportunities to strengthen procurement operations and support affordable, reliable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field; master's/CIPS preferred.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management in a global setting.
• Strong commercial, contract negotiation, and project management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commodity and sourcing strategies for assigned materials and suppliers.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and support development of preferred supplier networks.
• Analyze market trends and procurement data to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
