Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Irving, Texas, is seeking a procurement leader to optimize the Req-to-Pay process end-to-end.

You will oversee purchase order processing, supplier onboarding, office supply and computer peripheral procurement, and contract administration while driving continuous improvements. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, supplier relationship management, and training to ensure compliant, efficient operations across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Experience managing procurement, purchasing, or Req-to-Pay operations.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of PO processing, supplier onboarding and contract administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including training delivery.
• Experience using procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end Req-to-Pay process: PO processing, supplier onboarding, office supply and computer peripheral procurement, and contract administration.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, minimize errors, and improve client experience.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement procurement solutions that drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
• Manage supplier relationships, resolve performance issues, monitor service levels for quality and timely delivery.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts to achieve favorable business outcomes.
• Analyze supplier quotations, recommend sourcing decisions, and coordinate procurement activities to meet business needs.
• Review procurement documentation, approve invoices, verify goods/services receipt, maintain records.
• Develop and deliver communications, documentation, and training for Req-to-Pay adoption and best practices.
• Manage Procurement team inbox, provide guidance to staff and internal clients.
