Hitachi Energy in Jefferson City, Missouri is seeking a Strategic Procurement Lead to drive high-value sourcing initiatives, build strong supplier partnerships, and shape procurement strategies that support operational excellence and sustainable growth.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, finance and legal teams to identify innovative sourcing solutions, optimize supplier performance, and deliver measurable business value.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain experience.
• Proven supplier negotiations and cost savings experience.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management and global sourcing.
• Experience with SAP Ariba, Oracle or similar platforms and advanced Excel.

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with business and global objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, RFI/RFP management, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to improve quality, performance and value.
• Analyze spending trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and project requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct business reviews and drive corrective actions.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Mentor procurement team members and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
